MIDCENTURY TREEHOUSE 90210
The PAD was built in 1949. This unusual round Mid-century house overlooks Benedict Canyon.
Back in the day, the curious little cul-de-sac was  made up of bachelor PADS and hunting lodges. The street had some interesting neighbors, such as Bing Crosby, Dennis Hopper, and ‘That’ woman that starred in ‘The Attack of the 50ft. WomanYvette Vickers.  Yvette lived on the drive below.  She passed just months before the Pad was modernized.  Although her life ended tragically, she was loved by her fans, and it gave her pleasure to appear at cult events. The Pad believes the house may be haunted by her inner muse. Maybe she’s chosen the Pad just because she just enjoys setlife.

Facing south, the PAD is bathed in light and embodies the spirit of nature and architecture in harmony. The house was acquired by Photographer/Director Jonathan Lennard in 2011. Over three years, he worked on the space restoring every angle and detail to origin, making it ideal for the photographic frame. The organic materials of the house fill the soul with warmth, and embody the spirit of a casual California lifestyle.  Inspiration for the redesign of the house, have come from Jonathan’s love of Mid century design, and his interest in photography and inspiring photography work.

If you are one of the fortunate few, you still might see mountain lions, bobcats, owls, red tailed hawks and maybe even a few movie stars caught in a time warp . Late at night you will hear screeching owls, and you may get to hear Yvette ringing the chimes on the deck.
